UPDATE: FLIP-FLOP…FLIP?: O’Dea Confirms He’d Vote for Trump in 2024
NEW: Kyle Clark from 9 News Denver confirmed that Joe O’Dea would still vote for Trump if he were the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. It’s the latest demonstration why Coloradans can’t trust O’Dea: he'll say anything to help himself – but at the end of the day he’d be a rubber stamp for the Trump, McConnell MAGA agenda.
In a matter of less than two months, GOP Senate candidate Joe O’Dea completed a full flip-flop on Trump. O’Dea is attempting to run away from his record of embracing Trump during the Republican primary, knowing it will doom him in the general election.
O’Dea today:
Today on conservative radio, O’Dea contradicted himself and said “I wouldn’t support [Trump] running again.”
O’Dea during the primary:
During a Republican primary debate, O’Dea said that he would support Trump in 2024.
O’Dea says Trump bears no blame for inciting the January 6th insurrection.
O’Dea promised to finish building Trump’s border wall.
O’Dea’s then-campaign manager also sent out campaign texts near the end of the primary that vouched for O’Dea as Trump’s former state director.
“O’Dea is tossing away his dignity to try and erase his embrace of Trump in the primary in order to get elected. Coloradans won’t be fooled by O’Dea’s embarrassing flip-flop. He still thinks Trump bears no blame for Jan. 6th and he’ll ultimately be a rubber stamp for Mitch McConnell and the MAGA agenda.” – Colorado Democratic Party spokesperson Nico Delgado
