Ganahl Refuses to Denounce Eastman: Day 313

The day after Heidi Ganahl made national headlines for tapping an election denier, Danny Moore, as her running mate, it came to light that Moore hosted American democracy traitor John Eastman at his house in the months after the January 6 insurrection that he helped incite.

Now, both the GOP Gubernatorial candidate and her running mate have previously praised and elevated Eastman, who is known best as the architect of Donald Trump's plan to overthrow the 2020 presidential election.  

Eastman revealed to the public during an event held by US Election Integrity Project on April 24, 2021 that he was at Moore’s home just three days prior. USEIP is an elections conspiracy group that Ganahl said was “doing great work.”

Eastman said Moore deserved support after his removal as chair of the Independent Congressional Redistricting Commission, then continued by saying he “hosted me…at his home, just [last] Wednesday night.” 

Moore is best known in Colorado for repeatedly denying that the  2020 election was fair, saying that the election outcome was the result of the “Democrat steal” and that President Joe Biden “was not elected by the people.” 

Moore was removed from his chairmanship of the Independent Colorado Congressional Redistricting Commission for those social media posts.

Ganahl has refused to denounce Eastman for nearly a year, defended him to other CU regents after his involvement in the January 6th insurrection, and called his work “stellar.”
