Heidi Ganahl Won’t Denounce John Eastman, Day 284

GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Calls Eastman’s Record “Stellar”

Denver, CO –  Today is Day 4 of the congressional hearings on the January 6th insurrection, and Day 284 of Heidi Ganahl running for governor and refusing to fully denounce John Eastman or his involvement in the January 6th coup.

Despite the Denver Post Editorial Board’s demand this weekend that Ganahl denounce Eastman’s actions and close the Benson Center, Ganahl has made no statement.

Last week, she admitted to defending Eastman to other CU Regents after he played a critical role in the January 6th insurrection and she sent emails trying to meet with Eastman while he was teaching at CU.

Other Colorado columnists this weekend labeled Eastman “a traitor” and “a villain.”

“Heidi should have denounced Eastman the day she announced her campaign and will not do it. If she can’t show the leadership this moment demands, how can she be governor of Colorado?” - Colorado Democratic Party spokesperson Kailee Stiles
