ICYMI: Ganahl Selects Conspiracy Theorist for Lieutenant Gov.
This week, GOP gubernatorial nominee Heidi Ganahl proved once again she is all-in on election denialism by announcing her selection of Danny Moore to be her Lieutenant Governor.
Ganahl botched her original running mate announcement, when she preemptively announced her choice would be a “strong Hispanic male from rural Colorado” that she would announce on July 7. Her actual announcement came ten days late and her nominee is neither Hispanic nor from rural Colorado.
Instead, she chose Moore who is best known to Coloradans for spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories about COVID-19 and the 2020 election, which led to his unanimous removal as chair of the Colorado Independent Congressional Redistricting Commission.
Moore asserted that there were “tremendous questions around the [2020] election” and that Biden was elected by the “Democrat steal.” Moore also baselessly questioned the safety of Colorado’s mail-in-ballots.
