Joe O’Dea Praises Mitch McConnell Same Week NRSC Runs Ad in Colorado

Mitch McConnell is following through on his promise to prop up GOP Senate candidate Joe O’Dea this week with a TV ad from the NRSC, and O’Dea is welcoming the ad with open arms.

In an interview with the Fort Morgan Times, O’Dea reciprocated McConnell’s backing and said that he “has done some great things for our country.” This should come at no surprise since O’Dea is already taking orders from McConnell and opposed the Inflation Reduction Act after months of campaigning on inflation and claiming to be for working Coloradans. The bill would fight inflation and lower costs for working Americans by making big corporations pay their fair share and investing to combat the climate crisis. 

O’Dea would give McConnell the Republican majority he needs to pass a nationwide abortion ban, cut taxes for the rich, and put Social Security at risk. Last week, Colorado Democrats released a video to highlight that O’Dea will be McConnell’s latest yes-man instead of a voice for Colorado.
