ROUNDUP: Joe O’Dea Spreads GOP Misinformation on Inflation Reduction Act, Defends Trump

O’Dea confirms he would be a rubber stamp for McConnell, Trump MAGA agenda

GOP Senate candidate Joe O’Dea is not shying away from the far-right fringe of his party and he’s also doubling down on spreading misinformation on the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). He stood unified with other Republicans including election deniers like Randy Corporon and gubernatorial candidate Heidi Ganahl during a press conference he hosted at his own business.

O’Dea doubled down on opposing the Inflation Reduction Act stating he “didn’t see anything in there that [he] like[d]” and he spread GOP misinformation on the bill which has been debunked by a number of fact checks. Earlier in the week, O’Dea was slammed in a commentary from Colorado Newsline for siding with Mitch McConnell and opposing the IRA.

O’Dea also suggested the FBI’s search of Mar-a-Lago could be about “election year politics” which matches the rhetoric of other MAGA Republicans like Marco Rubio. Last week O’Dea confirmed he would vote for Trump in 2024 if he were the Republican nominee and he still thinks Trump bears no blame at least in part for the Jan. 6 insurrection

In case you missed it, Colorado Democrats launched a new video calling out GOP Senate candidate Joe O’Dea for being a McConnell, Trump rubber stamp:
