STATEMENT: Colorado Dems Applaud Senators Bennet & Hickenlooper for Passing Inflation Reduction Act
GOP Senate candidate Joe O’Dea sides with big corporations to oppose landmark bill
Over the weekend, Senate Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act to lower costs like prescription drug prices, fight inflation, and combat climate change while making the biggest, wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.
Colorado Democratic Party Chair Morgan Carroll reacted to the landmark legislation with the following statement:
“Thank you to Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper for putting Coloradans first by voting for a bill that will bring relief to working families. This bill will tackle inflation and lower costs like prescription drug prices while making a historic investment to address climate change – all while making big wealthy corporations pay their fair share.
“Republican Senate candidate Joe O’Dea opposes the bill and is spreading misleading GOP attacks about it because he’s a rubber stamp for the McConnell MAGA agenda. The contrast couldn’t be clearer – Bennet is working for Colorado while O’Dea is proving his loyalty to Big Pharma and corporate special interests who make record profits while price gouging working people.”
