STATEMENT: GOP Threatens to Repeal Obamacare, Raise Taxes if They Regain Power

Denver, CO – National Republican leaders continue to unveil their disastrous campaign agenda that would hurt Coloradans. Senator Ron Johnson said if the GOP gains back power, they would repeal the Affordable Care Act and NRSC Chair Rick Scott’s plan for Republicans includes raising taxes on seniors and the lowest-income Americans. 

Colorado Democratic Party Chair Morgan Carroll reacted to the GOP’s extreme agenda to repeal health care and raise taxes with the following statement:

“Republicans have made it clear – if they have the chance, they will take away your health care, raise taxes, increase the deficit to fund tax cuts for the rich, coddle dictators, and continue to divide America. The GOP’s extreme agenda would be disastrous for Coloradans and our economy which is why we need to do everything we can to keep Democrats in charge.”
