Where is Joe O’Dea?: GOP Senate Candidate Absent from the Campaign Trail

85 days until Election Day

Where is GOP Senate candidate Joe O’Dea? O’Dea took a vacation after winning the primary and has been mostly absent on the campaign trail. He is trading public campaign events for fundraisers with national Republicans including Mitch McConnell.

Last week he stood shoulder to shoulder with election deniers at a Colorado GOP press conference and in July he fundraised with national Republicans after a costly primary.

Meanwhile, Senator Michael Bennet has been meeting with Coloradans across the state on the campaign trail after voting for the popular Inflation Reduction Act.

“Joe O’Dea pledged his loyalty to Mitch McConnell and now he’s afraid to answer to working Coloradans. O’Dea’s spending more time with national Republicans than Coloradans – and this sends a clear message that he’ll be a rubber stamp for the McConnell MAGA agenda. Will the Colorado GOP panic with their top ticket candidate nowhere to be found?” – Colorado Democratic Party spokesperson Nico Delgado
