Heidi Ganahl Encourages Canvassers to Join “Great” Election Conspiracy Group Intimidating Voters
Denver, CO – A far-right faction of election deniers that Heidi Ganahl claimed were “doing great things” has been accused of sending armed volunteers to peoples’ doorsteps to interrogate them about their vote in the 2020 election.
A new lawsuit against the so-called “U.S. Election Integrity Plan” (USEIP) says the group has been berating people in Colorado about their 2020 ballots and taking pictures of their houses. They’ve focused their efforts on areas where there are growing numbers of voters who are people of color. USEIP is headed by January 6th insurrectionist Shawn Smith.
Last summer, Heidi advocated for this group’s work, saying she would “be happy to share the group’s contact information” for anyone who wanted to help the USEIP ‘canvass’ in Colorado.
“Heidi’s support for the extremist Election Integrity Plan shows just how wildly out of touch she is with Colorado voters. She was crystal clear that she thinks this is a ‘great group’ last summer; does she still support voter intimidation? Heidi owes Coloradans an answer.” – Colorado Democratic Party spokesperson Kailee Stiles
